“No one likes me.” You’ve probably heard those words from your kiddo. If your elementary-age child is having some social challenges, that is typical. You’re one alone.
Children with learning disabilities or ADHD tend to miss nonverbal cues, and unfortunately, can send the wrong message by their behavior to others.
Have you ever thought of doing role playing with your child? Here’s how it works.
Give an example of good body language and then bad, and let your child pick which one is which. Once she understands, play pretend. Come up with a story and let her react. Then have her take the lead. Be sure to compliment her when she does a good job!
We hope this will help your child make some new friends.
